Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: a two-person, married-couple role residing on campus to supervise and mentor a group of approximately 8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and, over time, transition to a placed houseparent living with the same student group. Requires experience with youth, a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; includes relocation assistance and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role-model expectations for students
- Willingness to complete individual employment applications by both spouses
