Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) live on campus in student homes at Milton Hershey School, providing supervision, mentorship, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include managing household routines, administering medications, driving to activities, planning and engaging students in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and following a nine-on/three-off duty schedule with a future transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Legally married for at least two years (two-person role)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; able to serve as role models for students
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
