Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for a married couple at Milton Hershey School. Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, supervision, and guidance to a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel services, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from Flex to Placed Houseparent. The position requires a two-person, legally married couple aged 27 or older, with at least two years of marriage, who will live on campus and participate in relocation to Hershey, PA with comprehensive benefits and relocation support.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- No alcohol on duty; smoking/weapons restrictions on campus
