Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role based at a Milton Hershey School on-campus setting, serving as Full-time Flex Houseparents who reside in student homes with a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from flexible to placed houseparent with a stable student home. Requires a two-person, married-couple arrangement, with both spouses aged 27+; high school diploma or GED; valid U.S. driver’s license; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; and relocation to Hershey, PA with relocation assistance. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Relocation assistance and paid training provided
- No more than three dependent children may reside in student home
