Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist for a married couple: live-in Flex Houseparents on campus at Milton Hershey School, supervising 8–13 students in a home setting, providing mentorship, scheduling routines, medication administration, transportation to activities, planning and leading developmental/recreational activities, and guiding daily devotions with students. Initial nine-on/three-off duty cycle transitioning to a placed houseparent living with the same student group; includes budget oversight, household reporting, comprehensive benefits and relocation support for the couple. Requires two spouses who are legally married for at least two years, both aged 27+, and willingness to reside on campus with full-time responsibilities in a structured, faith-informed residential environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
