Job Summary
Full-time two-person Flex Houseparents (married couple) reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and following a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule with eventual transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Prohibited on-duty alcohol
- Ability to reside on campus in student homes
- Eligibility for on-campus housing and work within a school environment
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- On-campus housing and work with youth
- Relocation to Hershey, PA
- Living in on-campus homes with assigned group of students
