Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents role on Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA. Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and supervision of household routines for a group of approximately 8–13 students; administer medications; drive students to activities; plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities; lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel; oversee budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same student group. Requires experience with youth, a high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to relocate; relocation assistance provided; two-person married-couple requirement for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
