Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents on-campus in a family-like environment. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring 8–13 students per home, managing household routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance provided; comprehensive benefits and on-duty housing included. Candidates must be a legally married couple for at least two years, both spouses age 27+, have a valid U.S. driver’s license, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and have a high school diploma or GED. Prior experience with youth is preferred; the role requires two individual applications for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
