Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for a married couple serving as Full-time Flex Houseparents on a campus, residing in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students and foster academic, emotional, and social development. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, then transition into a Placed Houseparent with same students in their own home. Benefits include salary per person around $44,768 (approx. $168,000 per couple with housing and meals), comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel services
