Job Summary
Full-time two-person Flex Houseparent couple at Milton Hershey School, residing in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine-days-on/three-days-off duty to the placed houseparent role with the same student group. Includes relocation and paid training, comprehensive benefits, and housing. Must be legally married for at least two years and both spouses must be 27+ years old; high school diploma or GED required; valid driver’s license; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; compliant with campus policies on alcohol, smoking, and weapon-free environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years married (lawfully)
- Two spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- No alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children in student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Willingness to reside in on-campus student homes
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
