Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person, married-couple role) live on-campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role transitions from initial nine-days-on, three-days-off duties to a Placed Houseparent placement with the same group of students. Requirements include youth experience, a two-person married couple arrangement, age 27+, driver’s license with ability to drive student vans, high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, and adherence to campus conduct policies. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse, legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role-model behavior for students
