Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples serving as Full-time Flex Houseparents on a campus. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, administering medications, planning and engaging in developmental activities, driving students to activities, leading daily devotions and chapel attendance, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from a flexible housing assignment to a stable placed houseparent arrangement with the same student group. Candidates must be a legally married couple for at least two years, both spouses age 27 or older, with a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to obtain van-driving certification; must demonstrate integrity and professionalism and commit to a smoke- and weapon-free campus. The role requires relocation to Hershey, PA and on-campus residence with students, including a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle before transitioning to a fixed home.” ,
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for legally married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and chapel services
- Willingness to become certified to drive student home vans
