Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School. Couple-resident mentors and supervise a group of approximately 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Relocation to Hershey, PA is required, with relocation assistance and paid training provided, along with comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement). For consideration, both spouses must complete individual applications and meet qualifications including a high school diploma or GED, two years of marriage, age 27 or older, and ability to meet physical requirements.} ,
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
