Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist pair (two-person Flex Houseparents) at Milton Hershey School relocating to Hershey, PA. The roles involve residing in on-campus student homes with approximately 8–13 students, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and support; managing household routines and student schedules; administering medications; transporting students to activities; leading devotions and chapel visits; budgeting and reporting; and transitioning from flexible to placed houseparents while following a nine-on/three-off duty schedule. The position emphasizes a family-like environment, development of students’ academic, emotional, and social growth, and requires both spouses to be actively employed in the same home with full benefits and relocation support.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
Additional Requirements
- Legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
