Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus in student homes in Hershey, PA, and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and supporting multiple student homes on a rotating nine-on/three-off schedule before transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with a single student home. Relocation assistance is provided. Qualifications include experience with youth, a legally married couple for at least two years (both spouses age 27+), no more than three dependent children in the home, a valid U.S. driver’s license with ability to become certified to drive student vans, high school diploma or GED, and willingness to work in a smoke-free and weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
