Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents reside on campus at Milton Hershey School to care for a group of 8–13 students in a family-like setting. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a Houseparent living and working with the same student group. Relocation assistance is provided. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement savings, paid time off, and housing and meals on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driverlse
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Relocation assistance provided
- On-campus housing provided
- Full-time position for a two-person couple
- Ability to manage household routines and student schedules
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
