Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent roles for married couples at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and supervise, mentor, and support a group of approximately 8–13 students, including daily routines, medications, transportation to activities, and planning/participating in developmental and recreational activities. Responsibilities include supervising students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from a flexible initial placement to a consistent placed houseparent role. Requires full-time commitment with a nine-on/three-off cycle, relocation to the Greenville, MS area, and a path to a two-spouse, long-term residence with on-campus housing benefits and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse role must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to obtain certification to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
Additional Requirements
- Two-spouse couple must both apply individually for consideration
