Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents in on-campus student homes, overseeing 8–13 students, providing supervision, mentorship, and activities, with duties including medication administration, transportation, budgeting, and leading devotions; initially nine days on duty followed by three days off, transitioning to a placed houseparent with joint duties across homes. Requires two-person married couple, age 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and relocation to on-campus housing with benefits including relocation assistance and training. Salary per person: $44,768/year plus benefits (approx. $168,000 total per couple). Relocation assistance provided.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
