Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, a two-person couples role residing in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising, scheduling, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, daily devotions, Sunday Chapel, budgeting, and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home as a placed houseparent; relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits provided.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
