Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist / Flex Houseparents responsible for supervising and mentoring students in on-campus student homes. Couples reside in homes with 8–13 students, providing care, guidance, supervision, and structured, family-like environments to support academic, emotional, and social development. Duties include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from initial nine-on/three-off shifts to a placed houseparent role with same student group. Relocation to Hershey, PA is required; benefits include salary per person, comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO. Qualifications include youth experience, two-year marriage requirement, age 27+, driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and compliance with campus policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Proven ability to drive student home vans

- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No alcohol on duty
