Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School live in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role to live and work with the same group of students. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in the same student home. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse role (must be legally married for at least two years)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to lead daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
