Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at a residential school. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for about 8–13 students, including administering medications, transportation to activities, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. Responsibilities span supervising routines, planning developmental/recreational activities, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a placed houseparent role with the same group of students. Requires experience with youth, a legally married duo for at least two years, both spouses aged 27+, and a high school diploma or GED; includes relocation to the assignment location and driving responsibilities with certification to operate student home vans. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- High school diploma or GED required
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
