Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist positions for Full-time Flex Houseparents who live on-campus and care for a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person (~$46,917), relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid time off. The role requires a two-spouse, legally married partnership for consideration, and both spouses must complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and chapel services
