Job Summary
Two-person full-time Flex Houseparent roles at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, mentorship, and activities for groups of around 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, coordinating routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, budgeting, and maintaining household reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same student group. Relocation assistance is provided; benefits include health/dental/vision, retirement options, paid time off, and training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-spouse partnership for the two-person role; married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
