Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents role for married couples at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervising and mentoring a group of approximately 8–13 students, including daily routines, supervising medications, driving students to activities, and leading devotions and Sunday Chapel. Responsibilities also include budgeting, household reporting, and planning developmental/recreational activities. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided. Salary is $46,917 per person (approximately $180,000 total per couple when combined, including housing and meals). For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to campus rules (smoke-free, weapon-free, no alcohol on duty)
