Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) reside on campus at Milton Hershey School and provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students in a student home. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, accompanying students to Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and progresses to a placed Houseparent assignment with the same student group. Benefits include salary of $44,768 per person (about $168,000 per couple), comprehensive insurance, retirement, relocation assistance, paid time off, and training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- This is a two-person role for couples
- Relocation assistance provided
- On-campus housing and meals included may be part of compensation package
