Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples serving as Full-time Flex Houseparents at an on-campus student home, supervising and guiding 8–13 students, coordinating routines and activities, administering medications, transporting students to activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, budgeting and reporting, with a nine-on/three-off schedule transitioning to a placed houseparent. Relocation to Hershey, PA required, on-campus housing included, and two-person role with benefits package including relocation assistance; positions require a valid U.S. driver’s license, adherence to a smoke-free/weapon-free campus, and eligibility to work as a married couple with both spouses aged 27 or older.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
