Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent couple reside on Milton Hershey School campus in Henry County, GA, and provide daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a placed houseparent role with same students. The schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for married couples (legally married for at least two years)
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role-model expectations for students
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- On-campus housing and full-time schedule details: nine consecutive days on duty, then three days off
- Relocation assistance and paid training provided
- High school diploma or GED required
