Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents needed to live on-campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. The role involves supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel. Initially, the couple will support various student homes on a nine-on, three-off duty cycle and will transition to a Placed Houseparent living in a student home. Compensation includes $44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 total per couple) plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Desire to reside on-campus with students in their home
- Ability to follow a schedule and manage household routines
- Ability to manage budgets and household reporting
- Relocation assistance provided
- Planned transition from Flex Houseparent to Placed Houseparent role
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans
