Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes with a group of ~8–13 students, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and a family-like environment. Responsibilities include supervising routines and schedules, administering medications, driving to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and attending Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Benefits include relocation assistance, paid training, and comprehensive medical/dental/vision benefits; salary per person is $44,768 (approximately $168,000 total per couple) with housing and meals included. Requires two-person married-couple employment, with both spouses required to apply and be at least 27 years old.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two-person role for legally married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- At least two years of marriage
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Experience working with youth or volunteering with youth
