Job Summary
Two-person on-campus Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes (8–13 students per home) and provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support to foster students’ academic, emotional, and social development. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and following a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule before transitioning to a placed houseparent with the same student group. Relocation assistance is provided, along with comprehensive benefits. The role requires two legally married spouses, both aged 27 or older, with a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to meet physical requirements and drive student home vans; proficiency in leading devotional activities and chapel is noted. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse eligibility for role (two-person role)
- Married for at least two years
- Age: both spouses 27+
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
