Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent roles for a married couple reside in on-campus student homes (8–13 students per home) and provide daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance. Responsibilities include managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and following a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule with a later transition to a Placed Houseparent where the same group of students lives in their own home. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, experience with youth, and the ability to work as a committed, two-person team (both spouses must apply and be at least 27 years old). Relocation assistance is provided, along with comprehensive benefits. Salary is $46,917 per person (approx. $180,000 total per couple) with housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Experienced working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
