Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for two legally married spouses (Full-time Flex Houseparents) located on a Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring 8–13 students per home, managing household routines, administering medications, coordinating transportation and activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and compliance with a smoke-free and weapon-free campus. The role operates on a nine-on / three-off cycle, includes relocation assistance, paid training, comprehensive benefits, and on-site housing; both spouses must complete individual applications for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Able to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
