Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role on Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting, and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a steady houseparent assignment. Salary per person is $44,768 with comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for married couples (must be legally married)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Willingness to obtain driving certification for student transport
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, no alcohol on duty
- Capability to lead devotions and participate in Sunday chapel services
