Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for a two-person married couple serving as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. The couple resides in on-campus student homes and provides care, guidance, supervision, and development for ~8–13 students, including daily supervision/mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning/developing developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a placed houseparent position with same students. Requires experience with youth, a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and both spouses must be legally married for at least two years and age 27+. Relocation assistance is provided, along with comprehensive benefits and paid training. Schedule initially involves nine days on/three days off, with a pathway to long-term placement in a single student home.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
