Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent positions at Milton Hershey School in on-campus student homes. Couples reside in student homes, provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for 8–13 students, managing routines, administering medications, driving to activities, planning and engaging in development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Requirements include being legally married for at least two years, both spouses aged 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and ability to drive student vans. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- High school diploma or GED required
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
