Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple Youth Development Specialist role residing on-campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring a group of up to ~813 students across on-campus homes, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications and ensuring student wellness, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, and leading daily devotions with students including Sunday Chapel. The position begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, then transitions into a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance. Must be a legally married couple for at least two years, both spouses aged 27 or older, with a valid driver’s license and ability to drive student vans; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; strong integrity and professionalism. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to live and work on-campus in student homes
- Completion of individual employment applications by both spouses
