Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role on Milton Hershey School campus. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring 8–13 students in on-campus homes, administering medications, managing household routines and student schedules, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; later transition to a placed houseparent living with the same student group in their own home. Relocation assistance provided; comprehensive benefits and paid training. Qualifications include youth-work experience, a legally married two-spouse partnership for at least two years, both spouses aged 27+, HS diploma/GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and alignment with campus rules.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
