Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role located on Milton Hershey School campus; couples reside in on-campus student homes and care for a group of ~8–13 students, providing supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation to activities, and development of academic, emotional, and social growth. Responsibilities include budgeting, household reporting, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and coordinating developmental/recreational activities. Schedule initially 9 consecutive days on duty followed by 3 days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living arrangement with the same student group.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license (ability to become certified to drive student home vans)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
