Job Summary
Two-person married-couple role as Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, residing in on-campus student homes to provide care, mentorship, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent where the same group of students is cared for in one home. Work schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a dedicated houseparent.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two-spouse, married for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to be role models for students
- Willingness to complete individual employment applications for both spouses
