Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist for a two-person, married-couple team serving as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes (roughly 8–13 students per home) and provide daily supervision, mentorship, and structured routines, including supervising medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. The role progresses from initial nine-days-on/three-days-off duty to a placed Houseparent assignment with the same group of students. Requires high school diploma or GED, experience with youth, valid U.S. driver’s license with ability to become certified to drive student vans, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and compliance with a smoke-free, weapon-free campus and no alcohol on duty. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; total compensation per couple is approximately $180,000 with housing and benefits. Requires both spouses to complete individual applications and be legally married for at least two years, with both spouses aged 27 or older.
Required Qualifications
