Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents on the Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide supervision, mentorship, and support for 8–13 students, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, with an initial nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule and eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent in the same home. Requires two-year marriage, both spouses aged 27+, HS diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, valid U.S. driver’s license, and experience with youth. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; salary $44,768 per person (+ benefits) per year.”,
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
