Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: a two-person, married-couple role residing in on-campus student homes to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students in their own student home. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement savings, paid time off, and training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
