Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmentally appropriate activities and devotions, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule across multiple homes and later transitions to a placed houseparent assignment with the same student group. Relocation support is provided, and benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement options, paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
