Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for two-person Flex Houseparents who will reside in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA, supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, managing household routines, transporting students to activities, leading devotions and Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and coordinating developmentally-focused activities. The position requires a legally married couple for at least two years, with both spouses aged 27 or older, and includes full-time duties with an initial nine-on, three-off schedule transitioning to a placed houseparent assignment, plus relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Experience with youth handling and supervision
- Ability to relocate to Hershey, PA and live on-campus
- No alcohol allowed on duty
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
