Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide care and mentorship, lead activities, manage household routines and budgeting, administer medications, and accompany students to religious services. The schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. The role includes relocation to Hershey, PA and offers comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
