Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide care, guidance, and routine supervision, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in development and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, and transition from a nine-on/three-off schedule to a Placed Houseparent with the same group of students. The role emphasizes a structured, family-like environment and ongoing mentorship within a campus setting, with relocation to Hershey, PA, and on-campus housing included as part of the compensation package.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
