Job Summary
Two-person, Full-time Flex Houseparents living on Milton Hershey School campus caring for a group of 8–13 students; responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, administering medications, coordinating transportation and activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, budgeting and reporting, and maintaining a structured, family-like home with a nine-on/three-off schedule, with eventual placement in a single student-home setting and relocation to Hershey, PA. Requires married couple, both at least 27, high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and commitment to a safe, weapon- and smoke-free environment; relocation assistance and paid training provided.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free campus; weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA and live on campus
