Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role on Milton Hershey School campus near Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, supervision, and mentorship to 8–13 students, manage household routines, medications, driving to activities, and lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. Position supports transition to a placed Houseparent role with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule, and includes relocation assistance, housing, and comprehensive benefits. Requires married couple partnership, on-campus housing, valid driver’s license, youth-work experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; highest priority given to candidates who meet age and integrity requirements and can navigate budget reporting and student wellbeing within a structured, school-based environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse married couple eligibility (two individual applications required)
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Willingness to live on-campus in a student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Ability to drive and supervise student activities
- Experience leading devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
