Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School reside on-campus in Hershey, PA and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, and transitions to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same student group in their own home. Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Proven ability to supervise and mentor youths
- Experience/volunteering with youth preferred
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA and reside on-campus
- Completion of individual employment applications by both spouses
